GR-IX, the Greek Internet Exchange, welcomes NOVA (ASN: 1241) as its newest reseller partner, further expanding its growing ecosystem of connectivity and interconnection services.

The addition of  NOVA strengthens the GR-IX community and supports the continued development of reliable, high-quality internet connectivity.

GR-IX is the only neutral and independent Internet Exchange, with a mission to facilitate Internet traffic (IP) exchange and accelerate the growth of the Internet in Greece.

It is an important national infrastructure, as it connects the largest Internet companies in Greece, such as Internet service providers, content providers, and cloud service providers. GR-IX is owned by the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET S.A.), which, as a non-profit public company, guarantees the neutrality and independence of the Internet Exchange.

GR-IX was founded in 2009 as the successor to the Athens Internet Exchange (AIX), which had been operating since 1999.
